2. A Walk Across the Ben Franklin Bridge

    The Benjamin Frankin Bridge, connecting Central Philadelphia with New Jersey has an elevated walkway open and free to the public that spans the entire bridge for almost 2 miles. The walkway is a beautiful location from which to capture breathtaking views of the Philadelphia skyline and the New Jersey coastline. It is a favorite place for photographers, runners, bikers, and walkers alike. Of note the Ben Franklin Bridge, was once the longest suspension bridge in the world with a span of 1,750 feet. It held the title from 1926-1929 until The Ambassador Bridge from Ontario to Detroit became the longest with a span of 1,850ft. The Ben Franklin Bridge is the hub of celebrations, fireworks, and an iconic landmark to visit during a visit to Philadelphia any time of year.
